Is scraping Google Maps legal?
Scraping publicly visible business information from Google Maps for your own use is legal in most jurisdictions, similar to manually copying it. ScrapperClaw only extracts what's already public on a business listing — name, phone, address, website, rating. It does not scrape personal data, reviews, or anything behind a login. Always check your local laws and Google's Terms of Service for your use case.
What data does ScrapperClaw extract?
Name, phone number, address, website, email (when found on the business website), rating, review count, and the Google Maps URL. Everything is from the public business listing.
How accurate are the emails?
Around 10% of scraped places have an email ScrapperClaw can find (based on usage data so far) — emails are taken from the business's own website, not guessed. If a business doesn't publish an email, we leave the field blank. We never invent or pattern-guess emails like firstname@company.com.
How many leads can I get per search?
Free plan: 20 leads per search, 50 leads/month total. Pro plan: 500 leads per search, 5,000 leads/month. Limits exist to keep extraction reliable and respect Google's rate limits.
Does ScrapperClaw work outside the US?
Yes — ScrapperClaw works anywhere Google Maps does. Users are scraping leads across the US, Canada, UK, and more. The extension follows the language and region of your Google Maps search.
Will Google block my account?
Searches stay within normal user-rate limits, so the risk of a block is very low for individual users. We don't recommend running multiple scrapes in parallel from the same account. If you ever see a 'verify you're not a robot' check, pause for a few minutes before continuing.
Can I export to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Free plan exports CSV (opens in Excel and Google Sheets directly). Pro plan adds native Excel (.xlsx) and PDF exports. You can also import the CSV into any CRM that accepts CSV imports.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free is for occasional use: 5 searches/month, 50 leads/month, 20 leads/search, CSV only. Pro is for active lead gen: 50 searches/month, 5,000 leads/month, 500 leads/search, Excel + PDF + CSV exports, priority support — $19/month.
Is there an API?
Not yet. ScrapperClaw is a browser extension by design — it uses your authenticated browser session, which is what makes it reliable without API keys or proxies. If you need API-style bulk scraping, tools like Outscraper or Apify are a better fit.
How is this different from Outscraper or Phantombuster?
Outscraper is a per-record paid API — better for very high volume but more expensive and needs setup. Phantombuster is a multi-platform automation tool — broader but pricier. ScrapperClaw is a single-purpose Chrome extension focused on Google Maps, with a flat monthly price and zero setup. Use ScrapperClaw if you only need Maps leads and want one-click extraction.
